Environment Agency Strategic Studies for Water Related Recreation
The Environment Agency commissioned the University of Brighton to produce a series of Strategic Studies in England to assess and develop plans on the future needs of water-related sport and recreation that included canoeing. The plans highlighted access to inland waters as a gap in provision and where the restrictive policies towards recreational access to many waterways is a contributory factor.
