Centres can now sign up to deliver U Canoe Unleashed
This exciting new offer is available to Centres across England looking to enhance their offer to young people participating in canoeing at their centre. Unleashed sessions are primarily aimed at beginner paddlers and can provide a great starting point to progress further into the sport of canoeing through fun, informal activities that inspires the participants in a socially engaging environment.
The programme has a range of activities put together in an easy to use resource enabling the young people to choose their own outcomes and ‘canoe your way’. The resource pack is also supported by a U Canoe Unleashed kit bag which is available to purchase.
It’s easy to get started. Just fill out the registration forms and return them to Canoe England. A Canoe England Development Officer will visit your centre to go through the resources and train your coaches to become ‘Activators’.

Centre Requirements
Designed as a fun introduction or support resource for young people in canoeing, this can further be supported with PaddlePower and Cross Stream, with the aim being to engage participants for life
| Each U Canoe Unleashed delivery centre should have : - Access to a waterway/pool
- An appropriately trained leader for the body of water activity is happening on
- Appropriate fleet of craft that allows ease of use and progression
- Suitable exit routes for participants
- Approved Paddlesport Provider Status (desirable)
- Adequate public liability insurance for activities being ran

| Each U Canoe Unleashed delivery centre should commit to: - Engaging new paddlers into the sport of canoeing
- Providing an enthusiastic, approachable and inspirational activator
- An ability to engage with 14-25 year olds through U Canoe at least once a week
- Monitoring participation in line with Canoe England key objectives
