At Canoe England we are conscious that our members may getinvolved in a number of outdoor activities as well as paddling. If you are alsoinvolved in hill walking, mountaineering or climbing we would like to share thefollowing Funding Opportunity with you. If you are purely paddling focused wewould like to know if you would be interested in this Fund being rolled out toPaddlesport volunteers.
Plas y Brenin, the National Mountain Sports Centre hasrecently announced a fund to help support volunteer leaders and coaches inareas where leaders and young people may be lacking in opportunity or advantage– The Future Leaders Fund. This fund is aimed at helping volunteer leaders inthe outdoors access more affordable training. The fund takes the form of up to75% subsidy on training or assessment courses in hill walking, mountaineeringand climbing at Plas y Brenin.
