Top Centre
Canoe England recognises that our clubs and centres are a key factor in the development and growth of our sport and we value their commitment. It is important that all participants, particularly young people, have a quality introduction to Paddlesport with clear signposting that will allow for continuation in our sport. It is also important that the centre offers an accessible environment for young people where effective; quality coaching and training practices are evident, in a welcoming environment.
Canoe England’s Top Centre accreditation scheme is aligned to the Sport England’s Clubmark award to ensure that a centre operates above minimum standards expected for any outdoor centre offering Paddlesport to young people. Centres successfully meeting the criteria will be awarded both the Clubmark and Canoe England’s Top Centre kite mark which can be used in centre promotional material and letterheads.

At least one visit per year to coincide with Canoe England Centre Approval to gain both kitemarks.
