FSRT Provider prerequisites
Coaches wishing to become an FSRT Provider are required to complete a provider logbook. This is open to updated coaches with one of the following requirements:
BCU Level 3 Coach, plus alternative Kayak or Canoe 3 Star Award OR
MWE Coach, plus alternative Kayak or Canoe 3 Star Award OR
BCU (UKCC) Level 2 (Canoe and Kayak, with both Canoe and Kayak 3 Star) with a minimum of 100 logged coaching hours with a range of craft in the sheltered water environment after achieving Level BCU (UKCC) Level 2.
Be a BCU Comprehensive Member.
Be a fully updated Coach.
If you wish to become a Provider, and hold the above prerequisites, your first step is to gain a Foundation Safety and Rescue Provider Log, you can get this by emailing [email protected]. Your second step is to attend a Foundation Safety and Rescue Provider Orientation Day. Some courses are listed below, this page will be updated as further courses become available.
WWSR Provider prerequisites
Coaches wishing to become a WWSR Provider are required to complete a provider logbook. This is open to updated coaches with the following qualifications:
BCU Level 3 Coach + 5 Star Award (White Water or Open Canoe), held for a minimum of 3 years OR
BCU (UKCC) Level 3 Coach (White Water or Open Canoe) + 5 Star Leader Award (White Water or Open Canoe), held for a minimum of 3 years OR
BCU (UKCC) Level 2 Coach with Moderate Water Endorsement (White Water or Open Canoe) + 5 Star Leader Award (White Water or Open Canoe), held for a minimum of 3 years.

Requesting a logbook
You must meet the prerequisites above before requesting a logbook.
